A number of community members within Clear Creek ISD will begin meetings for the district’s school health advisory council, or SHAC.

The board of trustees approved health care professional Bryan Schneider to be a board-selected member of the council at its Oct. 27 meeting.

In a nutshell

The district’s SHAC is a collaborative group of parents, educators, health professionals and community members who advise CCISD on health-related policies and programs, according to the district’s website.

Before selecting Schneider, CCISD’s board selected 15 parent members at its Oct. 13 workshop through a random drawing after over 170 parents responded with interest in September, board documents note.
