Clear Creek ISD officials shaved off $1 million from their projected shortfall for the fiscal year 2025-26 budget, which still leaves them with a projected $12.5 million shortfall

Meanwhile, officials expect the tax rate to remain the same as FY 2024-25—$0.9690 per $100 valuation of a home—documents show.

The updated budget discussion was presented to the board of trustees at its Aug. 11 workshop.

Latest update

The district is projecting $429.3 million in expenses and $414.7 million in revenue, along with $2.1 million in other sources, landing the projected shortfall at $12.5 million, according to district budget documents.

At its previous budget discussion July 14, the district projected a $13.5 million shortfall, which included $1 million in expenses due to a potential freeze in the district’s title funds.

Since then, the Texas Education Agency released those funds for the district to use for FY 2025-26, CCISD’s Chief Financial Officer Alice Benzaia said at the workshop.
