Other applications include a $1.1 million grant for improving teacher and principal quality, and various grants to help students with limited English proficiency improve their language skills, documents show.
Several contracts are also on the docket for June 23, including agreements for alternative education programs, a crosswalk agreement with the city of Friendswood, and various contracts for school-related services, including plumbing, repairs, supplies and propane for buses.
Also on the agenda
An item totaling $319,000 for school safety-related projects is also up for a vote, agenda documents show. Those projects include modifying student restrooms, purchasing tasers and partially funding a mini ambulance to use at both of the district’s stadiums.
