The bus was funded by the Clear Creek Education Foundation through a grant, per the news release.
“The Clear Creek Education Foundation was proud to award the grant to bring Voyager to life,” CCEF Chair J.P. Morris said in the news release. “Few districts have revolutionized the learning experience beyond the classroom walls, and we believed supporting this mobile, flexible and innovative space broke the traditional boundaries of the school day and buildings.”
CCISD’s transportation team prepared the interior and exterior of the bus, and students from the district’s construction science program retrofitted the interior of the bus and built out the learning spaces, according to the news release.
The bus will also make stops at CCISD campuses throughout the 2025-26 school year, according to the news release.
