Diving in deeper

Amber Patrick, director of state and federal programs for CCISD, said the annual presentation is required as part of an effort to ensure districts are providing equitable services to private school students and teachers.

"We host this annual meeting every year in conjunction with neighboring districts ... to ensure students in private nonprofit schools—especially low-income and academically at-risk students—are provided with access to federally-funded support services similar to those in public schools," Patrick said in an email.
