COM’s board of trustees named Helen Castellanos Brewer, COM’s current executive vice president for the divisions of academic and student affairs, as the sole finalist for president, according to a March 24 news release from the college.
Brewer has a doctorate in philosophy in education leadership, management and policy; a master’s degree in counseling; and a bachelor’s degree in psychology, the news release notes.
The college began its presidential search in late August after the announcement that COM's current president, Warren Nichols, would retire by July 2025, Community Impact previously reported.
