Clear Creek ISD will have nine new white fleet vehicles after the board of trustees approved the $521,000 purchase at its Aug. 26 meeting.

The gist

The new white fleet vehicles will replace nine aging white fleet vehicles, CCISD documents show.

Seven of the vehicles will be used by the maintenance departments for carpenters; heating, ventilation and air conditioning; technicians; electricians; grounds maintenance; and operational staff to facilitate repairs and maintenance on district properties, CCISD Transportation Director Duane Cargill said in an Aug. 29 email.

The other two vehicles will be utilized by the technology department for staff to service information technology equipment throughout the district, Cargill said in the email.

What else?

The purchase was made through Bastrop Ford dealership Sames Bastrop Ford, according to CCISD documents.

While the purchase amount was about $511,000, another $10,000 was added as a contingency, Cargill said in the email.

The purchase will be made through the district’s capital project funds, documents show.
