As recovery continues in Houston following Hurricane Beryl, school districts and colleges across the Greater Houston area have extended closures.

What you need to know

The following school districts and colleges will be closed July 11:

• Alvin Community College
• Conroe ISD, which will resume student summer programs July 15
• Fort Bend ISD, which is also closing its extended learning services through July 12
• Klein ISD
• Lamar CISD
• Magnolia ISD
• San Jacinto College
• Willis ISD

Alvin ISD will be open July 10 with limited services, according to a district announcement, but the district will be closed for summer school, extracurricular activities and professional development.

Meanwhile, school districts and colleges closed through July 12 include:

• Humble ISD
• Cy-Fair ISD
• Spring ISD
• Tomball ISD
• University of Houston

School districts and colleges closed through July 14 include:

• Katy ISD
• Lone Star College
