Burger Nation NASA served its last burger July 27—after announcing its permanent closing days prior.
What we know
For the past five years, the independently-owned restaurant has served unique burgers, fries and shakes to the local community.
According to a July 22 social media post from the restaurant, Burger Nation NASA found pride in being a welcoming space for the community, and the restaurant hosted a variety of events, including fundraisers, school spirit nights, birthdays and a marriage proposal.
However, in the post, the business announced its lease was ending in July, and they would not be renewing.
What they said
“Serving this community has been one of the greatest honors of our journey," the post stated. "From the first sizzle on the grill to the last fry in the basket, your warm smiles, kind words, and enthusiastic support have fueled us every step of the way. Whether you were a regular whose order we knew by heart, or a first-time guest stopping by on a whim, you welcomed us with open arms—and for that, we’re profoundly grateful.”
At this time, the restaurant hasn't given a reason for not renewing, but they posted that the decision “was not made lightly, and many factors were thoughtfully considered.”
