Seabrook staple Barge 295 has officially reopened nearly a year after closing due to Hurricane Beryl, a representative with the restaurant said in an email June 30.

The bar, which restaurant officials with Barge 295 noted as the only bar that floats on a barge in Texas, had to close due to completely sinking when Hurricane Beryl struck the Houston Bay Area area July 8, 2024.

The bar was able to be completely resurrected and restored, officials said. It reopened June 20.

On the menu


The bar offers an assortment of drinks including local craft beers as well as seafood, including oysters, tuna, lobster rolls, shrimp and po-boys, among other items, according to the bar’s website.
