Chef Andrew Musico brought Filipino fine dining to Houston with the city's first Filipino-inspired tasting menu restaurant. With a focus on seasonal and local ingredients, and innovative techniques, Chikahan offers a dining experience that celebrates the heritage and culinary traditions of the Philippines. One of the food courses is a reimagining of tortang talong, also known as a Filipino eggplant omelette.

This traditional Chinese cuisine-inspired restaurant opened its doors in late December in The Woodlands. Mimi Garden specializes in traditional Chinese cuisine with a focus on dumplings and bao, a type of stuffed and steamed roll. The restaurant also offers a variety of noodle, rice and wonton-based dishes.
