All I-45 southbound lanes in League City will be closed between Hwy. 96 and FM 517 this weekend.

Starting at 9 p.m. Jan. 8 through 5 a.m. Jan. 11, all I-45 southbound traffic will be detoured onto the southbound frontage road at the Hwy. 96 exit ramp. Motorists will be allowed to re-enter the southbound main lane at Holland Road, according to a League City press release.


Texas Department of Transportation crews will be working to reconfigure the southbound main lanes during the closure as part of TxDOT's efforts to widen I-45 from Houston to Galveston. For more information on closures and other I-45 projects, visit www.houstontranstar.org.
