Andi Gibson and her team of stylists at Sweet and Sassy have provided a place for young girls in The Woodlands to feel like princesses.

Located in the Sam Moon Center near other children-oriented businesses, Gibson said the salon makes for an ideal place for mothers and daughters to relax and get pampered together.

“There is not another place for little girls to get made up and dressed up like mom gets to,” she said. “Moms have a place to get their nails done and hair done, but they can do it together here. We do everything from facials to haircuts for little girls.”

The salon’s most popular service is ear piercings, which are free with the purchase of a pair of earrings that cost at least $35.95. The service includes a certificate with a photo, gourmet lollipop, glitter star and cleaning solution to take home. The customer also gets to sit in a throne during the piercing.

Sweet and Sassy offers a variety of pampering packages and services for all women.

While the shop’s specialty offerings include mini manicures and pedicures, toddler haircuts and facials, stylists can also create updos and provide makeup services for teenagers and adults.

“We can do prom and wedding updos way cheaper than others,” Gibson said. “Most people don’t know we do those things.”

Ironically, the self-professed girly girl’s four children want nothing to do with Sweet and Sassy, Gibson said. Their friends, however, jump at the chance to ride in the company’s hot-pink stretch limousine. It is a popular service provided by Sweet and Sassy for birthday parties and other special occasions.

Sweet and Sassy Manager Monica McQueen has worked at the salon with Gibson for four years. As someone with a love for children, who also enjoys working as a hair stylist, she gets the best of both worlds at the salon, she said.

“[Little girls] need to have a place, their own little place, where they can go—it’s like their own store and all for kids, and it is just really fun,” McQueen said.
