Children's entertainment, restaurants and a wine tasting room will be opening soon in Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake.
Ascension Coffee could open its Southlake location this fall, according to a spokesperson for Southlake Town Square.
The Southlake location will include a full espresso bar, a slow bar, an area in which baristas manually prepare drinks, and seasonal coffee flights.
Ascension’s drink menu includes lattes, cold brew, frappucinos and teas, according to its website. Customers can also order a variety of dishes, such as avocado toast, overnight oats and sandwiches.
The new shop in Southlake Town Square will be the seventh Ascension Coffee in North Texas.
A new art gallery with a wine tasting room, Housewife Rebellion, plans to open near Grapevine’s Main Street.
The gallery will feature work by Nicole Heere, the founder and owner of Housewife Rebellion. The tasting room will offer wines, charcuterie and a special glitter pink lemonade recipe, Heere said.
Housewife Rebellion will have a rentable space called the Rebel Room for events. The business also plans to host watch parties for Bravo's “Real Housewives.”
The tasting room is initially expected to be open Thursday through Sunday, Heere said.
3. Lean Kitchen
A new business offering meal prep options called Lean Kitchen plans to open in Colleyville later this year, the owner said.
The menu includes a selection of chicken, beef, turkey and seafood options, according to Lean Kitchen’s website. Customers can also purchase breakfast items, snacks, drinks, nutritional supplements, and health and wellness products.
The owner said menu items rotate monthly to provide variety.
Lean Kitchen prepares meals locally using fresh ingredients, the owner said. Customers can order ahead and pick meals up or choose from grab-and-go options in the store.
A business offering indoor sandboxes, Little Diggers, plans to open new locations in Colleyville and Plano this year.
The space has an indoor sandbox with more than 1,200 square feet for children ages 7 and under to play in, said Brooklyn Ogburn, the co-owner of the Colleyville and Plano locations. Within the play spaces, there are hundreds of construction-themed toys, including custom-made Sand Stacker and Tower Blocks.
Additionally, Ogburn said each location will have two birthday party rooms that have their own dedicated sandboxes.
“As local families and entrepreneurs, we wanted to bring something family focused to our communities,” Ogburn said in an email. “Our greatest desire is that our family venture will lead to incredible family memories for everyone who walks through our doors.”
Little Diggers has several other locations across the United States, according to its website.
5. Lucile’s
Fort Worth-based restaurant, Lucile’s, plans to open a second location in Colleyville.
The business plans to spend around $275,000 renovating the old Zafiros Mexican Grill Y Catina in The Village, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Construction was slated to begin in late July and is expected to wrap up in late September, per the filing.
Lucile’s serves a variety of dishes, including chicken fried steak, fried butterflied shrimp, a lobster roll, soups and salads.
City officials posted an announcement about the restaurant on Facebook in March. Council approved special use permits for parking and alcohol sales for the restaurant June 16.
Fast casual concept Tick Tock Taco plans to open its second location in Colleyville later this year.
The restaurant sells “globally inspired” fusion tacos, said Anum Khan, co-owner and operator of Tick Tock Taco. The menu includes options such as:
All tacos on the menu are made with Halal and organic ingredients, according to the website. For dessert, diners can also order from a selection of churros provided by Churro on Top.
The Colleyville location will also have a drive-thru.
7. Vidorra
The fifth Vidorra location in Grapevine will open in late August.
Vidorra’s menu includes street tacos, fajitas, aguachile, housemade guacamole and parrillada en fuego, an assortment of meat and vegetables served in a molcajete. The drink menu includes a selection of cocktails, such as noche tropical and Vidorra’s soft serve margarita, which combines soft serve ice cream and a frozen margarita.
The restaurant also offers a weekend brunch with options including chilaquiles, breakfast tacos and tableside mimosas.
“We’re incredibly excited to introduce Vidorra to the Grapevine community and open our fifth location,” Imran Sheikh, co-founder and CEO of Milkshake Concepts, said in the news release. “Grapevine has such a distinctive personality, bringing together residents, travelers and families throughout the year.”
