Georgetown officials celebrated a construction turning point for the city’s first downtown parking garage April 8.

Elected officials, construction workers and engineers gathered at a “topping out” ceremony, which signifies the uppermost deck of the $23.11 million garage being poured, according to a city of Georgetown Facebook post.
The garage will add 315 parking spaces to the downtown area and is set to finish construction by the end of 2025—hopefully before the “busy” Christmas season begins, Georgetown Mayor Josh Schroeder said at the ceremony.
