Between the start of early voting Oct. 19 and Election Day on Nov. 3, Georgetown voters will help decide several local, state and federal races, as well as two ballot propositions from the city and school district.
Dates to know
Oct. 19: first day of early voting
Oct. 23: last day to apply for ballot by mail (received, not postmarked)

What's on the ballot?
At the federal level, Georgetown voters will help decide races for the U.S. Senate and U.S. House District 31.
At the state level, governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general are all on the ballot, as well as several other races that include agriculture commissioner and railroad commissioner.
Williamson County has elections happening for county judge, county clerk, Precinct 4 commissioner and the tax assessor-collector.

What else?
Local voters will also decide the outcome of two propositions by the city and Georgetown ISD.
Georgetown ISD Proposition A is a voter-approval tax rate election to raise the district tax rate to help fund pay raises for staff. GISD officials are looking to increase the district's maintenance and operations tax rate from $0.6931 to $0.7831 per $100 valuation, according to previous Community Impact reporting.
The increase would raise an estimated $17.5 million in revenue. About $9 million would go to the state as part of recapture, and the remaining $8.4 million would go toward pay raises for staff.
City of Georgetown Proposition A would reauthorize a sales tax to fund street maintenance.
Since it was first approved by voters in 2002, the sales tax has raised revenue for street resurfacing and repair, according to previous reporting. The tax must be reauthorized every four years per state law, and the proposition would not increase the sales tax rate.
