The Georgetown Neighborhood Alliance is developing a vision to maximize the potential of University and Austin avenues’ corridors as they pass through downtown Georgetown.
The GNA is taking the lead role in developing the vision study at the request of District 6 Council Member Rachael Jonrowe. The study will provide community-based ideas and concepts the city could use in developing future corridor designs for both avenues, according to GNA President Pamela Mitchell.

One of the drivers for looking at University Avenue now is the impact that the new Southwest Bypass will have on Georgetown’s Inner Loop, Mitchell said in a release.
