Frisco to welcome 2020 with Day 1 Dallas event

The annual Day 1 Dallas event will make its Frisco debut Jan. 1 at Dr Pepper Ballpark, located at 7300 Roughriders Trail, Frisco.

The family-oriented New Year’s Day event, which is scheduled for 3-7 p.m., will feature activities such as magic acts, games, bounce houses, face painting, live bands and a fireworks show.

Tickets are $5 each for all attendees age 2 and older. Parking for the event is $10 in the Embassy Suites Convention Center Garage and the Dr Pepper Ballpark garages and surface lots.

Proceeds benefit Vogel Alcove, a nonprofit organization that helps children recover from traumatic events of homelessness.

Organizers expect Day 1 Dallas, which was previously held in Fair Park in Dallas, to attract more than 7,000 attendees for its first time in Frisco. Around 90% of the planned activities will be inside and around the ballpark and the neighboring Embassy Suites Convention Center.
