Denton County Public Health confirmed on July 20 the death of a Frisco man in his 40s as a result of COVID-19.
The Frisco man was one of three deaths in Denton County reported on Monday. No further information was released about the patients.
“We can’t emphasize enough the importance of doing everything we can to reduce the risks of spreading the virus,” Frisco Mayor Jeff Cheney said in a statement. “That means wearing masks, social distancing and washing your hands because COVID-19 doesn’t discriminate. Late this afternoon, we learned another one of our Frisco neighbors died from illness related to the virus. I ask you to keep this man and his loved ones in your prayers.”
This is the fourth confirmed death of a patient with COVID-19 in Frisco since the coronavirus pandemic began in March. The first death announced April 4 was a 67-year-old Frisco woman with underlying health complications. The second announced June 3 was an 89-year-old Frisco man with underlying health conditions. The third death reported on July 10 was a Frisco man in his 40s.
