Sprowls, Rauch, Murphy win Northwest ISD trustee race

Steve Sprowls, Lillian Rauch and Jennifer Murphy have been elected to the Northwest ISD board of trustees with 100% of all precincts reporting.

Sprowls was re-elected to Place 5 with 57.21% of the votes, or 4,292 votes. Rauch won Place 6 with 63.28% of the votes, or 4,779 votes. Murphy won Place 7 with 64.64% votes, or 4,833 votes.

"I'm excited," Sprowls said. "The Northwest ISD families really showed up. We just need to keep doing what we've been doing in the past. We're really growing, and we need to retain our teachers and keep focusing on the CTE program."

Murphy said she thought the voters prioritized "schools over politics" in this race.

"Our community is very devoted to the students, teachers and everything that is going on in Northwest ISD," she said. "We want to keep our decision-making local. The students are the most important, and the community realized that."
