Place 1 Frisco City Councilman Bob Allen is seeking re-election to the Council in May and has named his campaign treasurer, Richard "Dick" Peasley.

Allen is running for his third consecutive term, which will be his last due to Council term limits. This is his second time on City Council—Allen was first election in 2002, re-elected in 2004 and reached his term limit in 2007. He was elected again in 2009 and re-elected in 2012.

Allen and his family moved to Frisco in 1992 and has been involved in the community for years in a variety of services roles including serving on numerous board and committees.

"I love this community and I have been blessed to be a part of the success," Allen said. "It may well concern our neighboring cities to hear this, but despite our success I remain committed to pursuing every opportunity possible to improve Frisco even more. Finally, I have always believed you can judge the value of a candidate by the character of their campaign volunteers, and that is why I am truly inspired to have Dick Peasley as a key member of my campaign team. I consider Dick a true hero and a great American, and I'm thrilled to call him a friend."

Peasley, a retired U.S. Marine Corps helicopter pilot, served as a member of the 2014 Frisco ISD Bond Committee and was recently appointed as a Frisco representative to the North Texas Municipal Water District.
