The public hearings will be held at the Jan. 5 and Jan. 12 City Council meetings, both starting at 6 p.m. These hearings will be the final opportunities for residents to share their thoughts on the proposed projects in the bond.
What you need to know
City Manager Don Magner presented city staff’s final bond project recommendations to council Dec. 15, including $114.6 million for street projects, $36 million for fire station expansions and $22.2 million for parks projects.
There is no tax rate increase anticipated as part of the current bond package.
What’s next
Council will continue to refine the bond propositions after the hearings and must call the bond election by Feb. 9. The city will focus on public education on the bond until the May 2 election.
