The Richardson Public Library debuted its first ever mobile outreach van, according to the city of Richardson website.

The specifics: The van is named R.O.V.E.R., which stands for Richardson Outreach Van: Exploration Read-Y. It will help the library share information about services and resources the library provides to the Richardson community.

Staff plans to drive R.O.V.E.R. to student events such as parent teacher nights at Richardson schools. Richardson residents can also expect to see the van at literacy events, city festivals, senior living facilities and other community events.

The Friends of the Richardson Library and Richardson Rotary Club provided the funds for the van.
