Richardson ISD Place 2 incumbent Vanessa Pacheco and Pamela Hughes will face each other in a runoff election after no one in the race received more than 50% of votes, according to unofficial results.
Additionally, Rachel McGowan wins her reelection bid in District 5.
What you need to know
Pacheco received 2,687 votes, 49.94%, while Pamela Hughes received 2,329 votes, 43.29%. Elaine Bonavita received 364, about 7%, votes. The runoff will be held June 7.
In District 5, McGowan received 3,072 votes while challenger Christina Angelina Neria received 443 votes.

Early voting results are in from Dallas and Collin County for the May 3 elections and show incumbents Vanessa Pacheco and Rachel McGowan are leading their respective races.
What you need to know
Pacheco leads the District 2 race with 1,491 votes while challengers Pamela Hughes and Elaine Bonavita have earned 1,225 and 171 votes, respectively.
In District 5, incumbent Rachel McGowan received 1,841 votes while Neria received 231 of the total early votes cast.
