Five Richardson ISD projects were completed in the summer, Executive Director of Facilities Le Estes said.

Of those projects, which were part of the 2021 bond, four were campus renovations and one completed several Career and Technology education student labs, Estes said during the Aug. 21 board workshop meeting.

The details

Hamilton Park Pacesetter Magnet, Northrich Elementary and Stults Road Elementary School all received renovations that included new ceiling and flooring, new paint and updated restroom facilities.

Renovations at Hamilton Park Pacesetter Magnet also included connecting the auditorium with the campus.

Students exiting one building to go to another building created a safety concern, Estes said.

Additionally, all three projects were completed within their $10 million budget.

What else

Other completed projects include a $4 million refresh at the Little Rams and Little Wildcat Child Learning Academy at Springridge.

Renovations included new playground equipment, new furniture and updated restrooms. A sprinkler system was also installed throughout the building.

Career and Technology Education renovation projects that were completed totaled $3 million and included a cosmetology lab and veterinary lab at Lake Highlands High School and a mini salon at Berkner High School.

Once students have completed training, the labs will be open to the public for services, Superintendent Tabitha Branum said.
