A car struck the side of the building, causing substantial damage to a classroom, Superintendent Jeannie Stone said at a Nov. 16 board meeting. The district is working with structural engineers to determine the extent of the damage.
A quick repair is imperative for continuity of learning, Stone said.
“The campus is near enrollment capacity, and loss of usable space impairs our ability to carry out essential school activities,” she said.
Students and staff who occupy the room have been moved to a separate space where they will remain while repairs are underway, Stone added.
