Paleteria Nuevo León

Paleteria Nuevo León is now open in Richardson.

The restaurant serves Mexican-style ice cream and other treats. It is located next door to Taqueria & Tamaleria Nuevo León in the space formerly occupied by Burning Rice, which closed in January.

Pearl Cafe


Downtown Richardson has a new sweet shop.

Pearl Cafe is now open in Richardson.

The restaurant serves boba tea, waffles, crepes, pancakes and more. It also serves ice cream, lemonade and cake. This is the second North Texas location for the restaurant, with the first located in Mesquite.

New York-based Ayat is opening soon in Richardson, according to an Instagram post by the company.

The restaurant offers kebabs, chicken, lamb chops and other Palestinian dishes. It also offers vegetarian and vegan options.

Hamburgottis

Hamburgottis, a food truck based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, is opening a restaurant in Richardson, according to documents filed with the state.


The restaurant will serve smash burgers, a thin beef patty that is “smashed” onto the grill with a spatula. Patrons can order single-, double- or triple-patty halal burgers.

An opening date is unknown; however, documents filed with the Texas Department of License and Regulation indicate construction will begin in July and wrap up in December.
