Dallas County has confirmed 246 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the countywide total to 4,869, according to a May 6 press release.

Two new deaths associated with long-term care facilities have also been reported, including a Garland woman in her 80s and a Dallas man in his 80s, who died in hospice care.

As of yesterday, 92 cases of the coronavirus had been reported in the Dallas County portion of Richardson. Nine of those residents have died from the virus.
