Staycation Coffee will not relocate as originally planned and instead is expected to close its doors, according to a social media post.

The shop was expected to relocate over the summer after Richardson City Council approved a redevelopment project that will demolish the shop's current location to make way for a 279-unit apartment complex.

However, “a myriad of things have shifted behind the scenes,” according to the post, which resulted in the decision to close the shop.

Staycation Coffee serves coffee, tea, specialty drink and pastries.
