Richardson’s Galatyn Park area is set to get a new hotel.

Construction is set to begin on a new five-story Residence Inn by Marriott at 2251 Glenville Drive on Sept. 1, according to officials with Gray Design Group, the design firm on the expected $20 million project. The Residence Inn will feature 122 rooms, in addition to an exterior pool, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

Construction on the project is expected to wrap up by the end of December 2024.
