3. LimeHoney Modern Mexican opening in Richardson this summer
LimeHoney Modern Mexican Restaurant opened this summer at The Shire development in Richardson. The restaurant is located at 3613 Shire Blvd., Ste. 180. Serving as the sister restaurant to 42 BBQ Smokehouse, LimeHoney serves Mexican lunch and dinner food, including brisket tacos, along with a full-service bar and a covered patio.
4. Old 75 Beer Garden to open this fall in Richardson Restaurant Park
Old 75 Beer Garden is expected to open soon in the Richardson Restaurant Park. Construction began in April on the 16,000-square-foot outdoor dining and entertainment plaza, which is located between Dog Haus Biergarten and the planned space for Dave’s Hot Chicken. The beer garden was approved by Richardson City Council during its Oct. 11 meeting.
5. Austin Avenue II Grill & Sports Bar closes in Richardson
Austin Avenue II Grill & Sports Bar closed its Richardson location effective April 2. The bar and grill was located at 1801 N. Plano Road, Richardson. The restaurant will remain open at its Plano location off West Parker Road. Austin Avenue offers a variety of activities, including a pool table, arcade games, trivia, poker tournaments, karaoke and 30 large flat-screen TVs. The bar also serves 30 beer options with daily specials, happy hours and a loyalty card program for frequent customers.
