A portion of Dallas Parkway running through both Prosper and Celina will see lane closures as North Texas Tollway Authority crews continue to extend the Dallas North Tollway.

The closures, which will take place Jan. 13-18 between First Street and FM 428, will be limited to the northbound and southbound left lanes, according to a transit alert update from the city of Celina.

The lane closures will allow workers to transport topsoil, haul materials and clean the affected area, according to the update.

Some background

The NTTA’s board of directors approved a construction contract with Sinacola in December 2023 for the expansion project, which is budgeted at about $460 million. The project will extend the tollway’s main lanes about 6 miles north from US 380 to FM 428.
