Preston Road and GA Moore Parkway traffic signal installation
The project: A new traffic signal is being installed at Preston Road and GA Moore Parkway intersection. The project’s designs and installation are managed by the Texas Department of Transportation while the city is purchasing the poles, traffic control system technology and street name signs.
The update: Designs for the project wrapped up in March 2022, according to the city’s capital improvement projects dashboard. Construction is expected to start in September.

The project: The improvements on Sunset Boulevard include the full-depth reclamation and replacement of the asphalt pavement as well as installing a sanitary sewer system.

The project: The roadwork project includes the full-depth reclamation and replacement of the asphalt on South Celina Parkway, also known as CR 52.
The update: Designs finished in June, and construction is expected to start this fall, according to the city’s roadway projects website.

The project: Bothwell Boulevard is getting additional street lighting. The work is expected to last 75 days and includes installing light poles, luminaries, conduits and meters along the road.
The update: Celina City Council members chose to approve a construction contract for the project during a June 11 meeting after the neighborhood’s developers agreed to pay for roughly 25% of the project.
