“When you see those blue lights on the horizon, the glowing cross facing west and north, know that ... this community can trust Methodist,” said Cody Hunter, the hospital’s president, during a March 12 grand opening ceremony.
About the project
Methodist Celina Medical Center is the city’s first hospital and is a 240,000-square-foot facility equipped with 51 total beds, including 16 in the emergency department. The hospital has space to expand to 100 beds, hospital officials said.
Methodist Celina will open with more than 200 team members, Hunter said.
The campus is 40-plus acres, leaving room to grow in future years, according to hospital officials.
