Three proposed developments could bring nearly 500 new homes to Celina.

The Planning and Zoning Commission held three public hearings for developments that are currently up for consideration in the city at an April 17 meeting.

The details

Silo Crossing is a proposed mixed-use development that is set to include single family homes, as well as space for commercial, office and retail. It’s about 130 acres and could include some 311 single-family lots.

Eight acres could be reserved for commercial uses and no multifamily units are proposed.


Another neighborhood called Mesa Verde is set to be 40 acres and include about 130 single-family homes. According to city documents, the development could also include more than 8 acres of open space and a 2.7 acre amenity center.

Millen Farms could be about 26 acres and include 58 single-family lots.

What’s next?

After the public hearings, the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission voted to recommend approval of all of the proposed developments.


Now, these developments will go to the full city council in May for its consideration.
