Prosper and Celina ISD schools will remain closed Jan. 10 as snow and freezing temperatures are expected to continue across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to updates from both districts.

All CISD after school activities on Jan. 10 will also be cancelled, according to the updates.

PISD coaches and sponsors will directly contact their teams and groups about the status of after school activities, according to an alert on the district’s website.

A winter storm warning is in effect for Collin and Denton counties. Mixed winter precipitation is expected to increase Thursday afternoon and evening across North Texas. Travel is expected to be impacted Thursday evening into Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
