Construction on Celina’s multimillion-dollar, bond-funded parks project is slated to begin in spring 2025 and open about one year later.

The project

Spanning roughly 100 acres alongside its namesake, Wilson Creek, Wilson Creek Park will include:
  • Multiuse fields
  • A cricket field
  • Pickleball courts
  • A nine-hole disc golf course
  • Nature trails
  • A pond overlook
  • Batting cages
  • Lighted ballfields
  • A playground
  • A combined restrooms and concessions building
Celina City Council members discussed plans and new park renderings during a May 14 meeting.

The park site is already surrounded by future development. A future Celina ISD elementary school, a fire station and multiple residential areas are all included either in or around the park, according to a meeting presentation.
