1. Artisan Nail Bar


The business offers manicures and pedicures, including gel and acrylic options, and waxing services, according to its website. While the salon is open for customers, an employee said the business is also planning a grand opening in early August.2. Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream

The Ohio-based ice cream chain was founded in 1945 and offers over 100 ice cream flavors. Flavors include classics such as strawberry and black cherry as well as unique flavors including caramel pretzel crunch, bananas foster and chocolate chip cheesecake chunk. The new location is led by Prosper residents Mike and Angela Davis.3. Khun Nye Thai


The restaurant offers cuisine from Thailand and Vietnam including dishes such as bamee moo dang, Thai fried rice, Pad Thai, curries and more. The restaurant also serves street food, vegetarian options and pho.Coming soon

4. Blue Agave Nail Lounge


Tony Truong, owner of the business, said he has a location in Frisco and plans to expand into Celina in the future. Truong said he hasn’t settled on an opening date for the Prosper location as he’s still waiting for construction to be completed. A website is not yet available. Once open, Blue Agave Nail Lounge will offer services such as manicures, pedicures and waxing.

5. Urban Cookhouse

The restaurant offers a variety of sandwiches, wraps and salads with a focus on locally-sourced ingredients. Originally founded in Alabama, the Prosper opening marks Urban Cookhouse’s first location in Texas.Closures


6. Wisk A.M. Eatery

The restaurant’s website and Facebook page have been taken down as of July 8. Wisk is listed as permanently closed on Google, and calls to the business from Community Impact went unanswered. Wisk offered various breakfast and lunch items, including egg skillets, omelets, french toast, pancakes and more.
