Local music school Texas Amps & Axes now has a location north of Frontier Parkway.

The new location, located on Preston Road in Celina and owned and operated by Celina residents Iris and Jon Meneley, offers lessons in guitar, ukulele, violin, viola, cello, drums, piano and voice, according to a news release from Texas Amps & Axes.

Lessons are available for both experienced and new musicians of any age. There could be more offerings available in the future, according to the release.

“We are ecstatic to open a music studio right here in our hometown,” Jon Meneley said in the release. “It’s an honor to better support the musical ambitions of Celina and surrounding areas like Gunter and Anna with a convenient, quality resource for music education.”

Texas Amps & Axes also offers classes at its Prosper location on Broadway Street. Other offerings at both locations include a student band program and a homeschool music academy, according to the Texas Amps & Axes website.

“This is a wonderful time for our community to come together and celebrate the arts,” Iris Meneley said in the release. “We can’t wait to welcome families into our space and show them how music can inspire creativity and connection.”
