Grub Burger Bar is scheduled to change the name of its Plano location to Hopdoddy Burger Bar on April 15. Grub Burger, which was acquired by Hopdoddy earlier this year, will close after dinner service April 11 to undergo a five-day transformation, according to a company press release. Hopdoddy is slated to then reopen for lunch service April 15.

“The Plano location is the first restaurant to be converted to a Hopdoddy since we acquired the Grub Burger Bar chain in January,” Hopdoddy CEO Jeff Chandler said in a statement. “This is the first step in [the] brand’s exponential growth, and we look forward to welcoming our fans in Plano.”

Hopdoddy’s menu includes Piedmontese beef; Beyond Meat; bison; Chipperbec potatoes; and cage-free, steroid-free and gluten-free chicken, according to a company press release. To celebrate the new location, the first 100 guests at Hopdoddy will receive a QR code redeemable for a free order of shareable fries through the chain's mobile app on the first of each month throughout the summer, according to the release.

The new Hopdoddy location's address will be 8255 Preston Road, Ste. 300, Plano. Hopdoddy has locations in Dallas and Addision, but plans to rebrand 17 Grub Burger locations this year to give the chain nearly 50 locations in eight states, the release states. 972-535-5157. www.hopdoddy.com
