Plano officials are encouraging residents who attend the event in-person to bring blankets, lawn chairs and coolers. Parking will be available at Collin College. The city is asking that pets be left at home, according to the Plano Arts and Events Facebook page. Six Springs Tavern is hosting a free, three-day live music event in Richardson. A variety of bands and artists will play 45-minute sets of original music over the course of the event. July 3-4 | Frisco Freedom Fest
Frisco’s annual Fourth of July celebration will kick off July 3 with the Hotter 'n Firecrackers 5K and Glow Run as well as the Dachshund Dash. On July 4, the city's Party in the Plaza will begin at 4 p.m. with an array of activities for families. such as the Children’s Expo, Community Stage and Hometown Hero Exhibit. The Taste of Frisco event will also be back this year with Frisco restaurants serving some of their most popular menu items. Celebrate the Fourth of July with free family activities, live entertainment and a fireworks show organized by the city of McKinney and Craig Ranch. The Independence Fest Children’s Parade will take place at 10 a.m. The parade will be held at Leonard and Helen Johns Park, 1800 Timber Creek Road. The firework extravaganza will take place at various Grapevine lakeside park locations, including Oak Grove Park, Meadowmere Park, Scott’s Landing Marina and Grapevine Main Station. Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. and will be set to patriotic music, according to the city website. Parking and entry fees may apply for some locations.
