Plano Senior High School’s $197.2 million renovations are moving forward.
Plano ISD staff are preparing the former Haggard Middle School building to hold classes for the next two years as work starts on the main campus, Chief of Business Operations Steven Ewing said.

Haggard Middle School, now called Building H, will house classrooms, administrative offices, the nurse’s clinic and the meal program during construction at Plano Senior High, which is expected to finish in 2029.
Moving of furniture, equipment and materials from Building B to H is currently underway and expected to finish in July, Ewing said.
Plano Senior High will also utilize portable classrooms near Building E, and the reception area will relocate to Building D.

There will be no student parking at Building H, but the district will run a shuttle service between Building H and the main campus throughout the day. There is also a newly finished walkway between Building H and the Senior High main campus.
Ewing added that the bell schedule will be designed to “reduce student movement as much as possible.”
Plano Senior High Principal Kennitra Robertson said students will remain at Building H or Buildings A, D and E between Periods 1 and 3 and Periods 4-7, while lunch will be held at Building H.
“The reason for that is to limit back and forth and have one main transition period throughout the day connected to that lunch period,” she said.
