Collin County
Spring Creek Corridor intersection improvements
Project: The Spring Creek Corridor will receive additional turning lanes, new concrete pavement, barrier-free ramp reconstruction, sidewalk replacements and signal modifications in Plano.
Update: The southbound right lane from SH 121 to 800 feet south of Headquarters Drive will be closed. The project is in final design and is awaiting property acquisition before construction can move forward. Public Works Community Investment Program Manager Drew Zaeske said construction is estimated to be completed in the second quarter of 2029.
Arterial overlay along Independence Parkway and Parker Road
Project: Crews are laying a pavement preservation treatment and doing small arterial concrete repairs along various roads, including along Independence Parkway and Parker Road in Plano. The project also involves correcting asphalt edges close to railroad concrete pads and placing pavement markings.
Update: One southbound lane on Independence Parkway from Parker Road to Citadel Drive will close 24/7, with two lanes closed daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Project: The project includes reconstructing and widening Spur 399 from its current four-lane configuration to six lanes and connecting it to US 380.
Update: The project broke ground this summer and is currently under construction.
Tarrant County
Lipscomb Street and Forest Street
Project: Part of the 49th annual Community Development Block Grant, this project is an interlocal agreement between the city of Grapevine and Tarrant County. The outline for the work is replacing the waterline, sanitary sewer lines, storm drainage and adding sidewalks, according to city documents.
Update: The project has a contract completion date by the end of May.
Project: Bedford-based CT4 Construction was awarded a $2.1 million contract in August. The scope included the construction of two travel lanes, sidewalks and traffic signal improvements at the intersection of the frontage road and SH 360 in Grapevine. Federal funding was approved Dec. 13, 2018, with a 20% local match, according to city documents.
Update: The work was slated to start by the end of 2025. A city spokesperson said the project will be rebid, and the work is on hold until then.
