The Plano ISD board of trustees this week plans to consider the resignations of the district's superintendent and a board trustee. Trustees on Tuesday will discuss the resignations of Superintendent Brian Binggeli and board member Greg Myer, according to a work session agenda posted Friday. It was not immediately clear Monday evening why the district's top administrator and one of its newest board members were stepping down. "Currently, the information that is available appears in the November 28 work session agenda," district spokesperson Lesley Range-Stanton wrote in an email to Community Impact Newspaper. "A statement is forthcoming following board action." Greg Myer[/caption] In a letter dated Nov. 20 and addressed to school board President Missy Bender, Myer stated he planned to resign for "personal reasons." He did not clarify further in the letter. No such letter was attached to the agenda item disclosing the superintendent's resignation. Binggeli, Myer and Bender were contacted before this story's publication but did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Correction: This story has been updated to correct the date the district posted the meeting agenda. It was posted Friday, not Monday.
