Collin County health officials reported 28 new cases of coronavirus May 27, including nine in Plano.

There are 315 active cases in the county. The total number of positive tests is now 1,217, with 869 recoveries.

Of the active cases in the county, 22 are hospitalized, and 293 remain in home isolation, according to the report.

In Plano, there are 106 active Collin County cases, with 11 hospitalizations.

There have been 374 cases from Plano reported by the county. 259 of those have recovered, a seven-person increase over the day before.


There have been 16,146 negative COVID-19 tests in Collin County, and there are 2,147 people being monitored for the virus.

Collin County has reported 33 deaths of people who had tested positive for coronavirus, with nine Plano deaths.
