The 124,000-square-foot store at the southwest corner of SH 121 and Coit Road broke ground on Sept. 20. The store is scheduled to open in late 2024 and is expected to create 100-150 jobs in the area, according to a press release from Kroger Co.
The new Kroger Marketplace will be replacing the existing store across the street, located at 9700 Coit Road.
“We first opened our store on Coit Road in Plano in 2005, and nearly 20 years later we look forward to welcoming the community to our new and improved Marketplace store across the street,” Kroger Dallas Division President Keith Shoemaker said in a news release. “Our new Marketplace store in Plano will feature the very best that Kroger has to offer.”
Along with a full-service grocery, the new location will feature a Starbucks kiosk, Murray’s Cheese counter, 18 fueling stations, a pharmacy and more.
New Marketplace stores are also planned in Fort Worth and Melissa.
