Four ordinances that will restrict stopping, standing and parking on separate roadways were recently adopted by Plano City Council.

The changes were approved during the Sept. 26 meeting for four streets throughout the city.

The following streets are impacted by the ordinance:Violations are considered a Class C misdemeanor and carry a fine up to $500, based on city documents. Council memos on the parking restrictions outlined making safer neighborhoods as a goal because of different safety concerns on each roadway.

Previous ordinances restricting on-street parking have also been adopted, such as one along the 13th Street and 14th Street connector downtown.
