A project covering the replacement of sidewalk and water lines was approved by Plano City Council.

Over $1.5 million authorized by council during the Sept. 26 meeting will be awarded to Ratliff Hardscape to perform construction on sidewalks, waterlines and a pedestrian bridge across Pittman Creek on Lakeview Trail.

Two-minute impact

Most of the construction will take place near East Park Boulevard with the exception of the pedestrian bridge along Lakeview trail. The following streets will be impacted by the construction, according to a council memo.
  • East Park Boulevard
  • Rockbrook Drive
  • Trailridge Drive
In addition to the removal and replacement of sidewalk along Rockbrook Drive and Trailridge Drive, water lines will be replaced. Barrier-free ramps and other accessible connections for the sidewalks and pedestrian bridge are included in the contracted work.

The projects are funded as part of the streets capital improvement program, per the memo.
