Steve Kinard won the Republican primary race for the Texas House District 70 seat and will move on to the general election in November.

With all 49 precincts reporting in Collin County, Kinard received 6,659 votes, about 68.11% of the total. Joe Collins received 3,118 votes, about 31.89% of the total.

Incumbent Mihaela Plesa, who ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, received 5,772 votes.

Steve Kinard continues to lead the Republican primary race for the Texas House District 70 seat with 16 of 59 precincts reporting in Collin County.

Kinard has received 4,308 votes, about 68.54% of total votes. Joe Collins has received 1,977 votes, about 31.46% of the total.

Incumbent Mihaela Plesa, who is running unopposed in the Democratic primary, has received 3,789 votes.
