Shoppers in Plano and Fort Worth will soon have new Kroger stores to visit for their grocery shopping.

Three new Kroger Marketplace stores will be coming to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in 2024, according to a March 20 news release from the company. Along with the Plano and Fort Worth locations, a store is also planned for Melissa.

Specific addresses and additional information on the stores will be shared at groundbreaking events this summer, according to a spokesperson for the company.

“We are excited to bring these stores to areas with booming growth and a need for access to fresh food and essential items,” Kroger’s Dallas Division President Keith Shoemaker said in the release.

Kroger’s Marketplace format provides multi-department stores, offering expanded general merchandise—including outdoor living, electronics, home goods, apparel and toys—along with full service grocery and pharmacy.

Kroger currently operates more than 100 stores in north and east Texas, including five existing stores in Plano and nine in Fort Worth. www.kroger.com
